A Touch of Shakespeare in the Personal Ad

I offered to help my brother look up employment ads for him while he attended interviews lined up. While browsing through the pages, I came across the personal ad section. I always found the personal ad section

an entertaining read and was secretly glad to know that I need not such ads for myself. Suddenly one particular personal ad caught my eye. It was a quote from my favorite Shakespeare play. I must admit I was surprised to find the Bard's words in a personal ad section. A most unlikely place, I must also add.My curiosity got better of me and I found myself, in utter disbelief I must add, calling the number from the

ad. A male voice answered and I asked for the gentleman who had placed the ad and when the voice affirmed that it was he, I recited the next line of the quote published in the personal

ad. Without missing a beat, the voice on the other hand continued the stanza and upon ending it, we both broke out in laughter. I introduced myself and how my interest in his personal ad was piqued. Naturally we arranged to meet up and it so happened that I could get tickets for a play that weekend. He was agreeable to the suggestion.

I could not wait for the weekend and I was really surprised at myself. My brother was rather disgruntled that I had not managed to spot enough job opportunities for him. His annoyance was lost on the excited me. Soon it was the day of the performance and I took care to dress carefully. I do not remember taking so much care for a date, let alone for one through the personal add. We met at the designated spot and there was instant chemistry that ran through me like a jolt. I had not expected to react like this so quick but I suppose some events are fated and beyond our control. I accepted that and him, another lover of Shakespeare. These days we debate, discuss and agree quoting Shakespeare. I could not find a better match for myself.
